a man a plan a canal, panama

Will MorrowWe have been here in Volcan for an entire week.  It is hard to believe.  The food that Beti prepares is wonderful.  The view of the sun rising from the caldera of Volcan Baru every morning is, well, you'd just have to see it.

This weekend we have spent as a team.  We are getting to know each other better.  We like to joke.  It was sad to see Miguel and Jen leave.

It has been raining for hours.  It is the first enduring rain of the trip.  The kind of rain we were promised.  The drone of the many drops on the tin roofs has a relaxing effect.  The air is cool.  I know I will sleep well tonight.

I am looking forward to returning to Jacu tomorrow.  I have the luxury of working both at the clinic and with the building team.  Last week I was mostly at the clinic.  It was great to see so many people helped.  I look forward to helping through physical work this week.  I also hope to be able to get to know the people of Jacu.  The clinic is fast paced, and therefore the interactions are sometime hurried.  I hope that working with just a few people for the entire day will offer a better opportunity to build relationships.

It was good to see that God is working in the life of Will and all those who are with him. As a former African missionary I empathize and sympathize with mission teams. But most of all I know that God has a plan for your life and those you are working with. Please know that you will be in my prayers. God is good all the time and all the time God is good.
